Thinking in themes is like a fairy tale – you create a whole fantasy story of your own, based upon an idea. The idea starts small and grows, and grows, and – well, all good things must come to an end. But that’s just the beginning. I love thinking in themes – gathering ideas, finding the just perfect (or sometimes – alas – the “it’ll do”) item, searching high and low for the not-always-so obvious. Within the past 10 to 20 years, thinking in themes has become another ballgame, with the plenitude of resources at our thumb tips. The World Wide Web, Pinterest, and, of course, Amazon. Not everyone has the passion for thinking in themes, or the time and energy to search every nook and cranny in attempt to find the pieces that make up the puzzle.
